what amp for my hertz mlk 165 comps?

Now that I have some time off from school coming up, I'm finally going to get around to installing my hertz mlk 165 comps.

What amp do you guys think I should use to power them? I'll be using the passive crossovers.

i doubt 60w rms is anywheres near enough. I'm not sure of the mlk's rms ratings but I think I remember hearing 200w rms somewhere. IDK though.

sub = 12'' dc lvl 4, tuned to 32 hz.

headunit = alpine 9887

right now the amp is a sundown sae1200d

getting an epicenter and a stinger spv70 in the mail soon.

any suggestions?

nah, bridge the Audison (170x2)

those Hertz comps RMS is 150

The level of distortion from bridging that amp is inaudible, you will not hear a difference from a two channel amp. If you do want a two channel, i have the mlk 1765's as well and i'm pushing them with a Audison Lrx 2.500. Try to find that amp its sounds amazing on the mlk 165's

yea if you can get an audison amp for a good price i would reccommend it, the hertz amps also do good from what ive seen, they are not up to the high quality of the audison amps but still hold their own

im using RF power amps and have nothing bad to say about them, super small amps, pack a ton of power, dont know what kind of prices you can find online on say a 400-2 or a 600-2

any good amp with 150-200rms per ch will be awesome, the MLK's set up right are a dream, i love my MLK 2's

I can't believe someone actually recommended JL. all I hear of them is that they're way overpriced. anymore suggestions?
