What amp for my CDT's?

I need an amp that can run my pair of HD-62ef component speakers from CDT. Theya re rated at 120-130rms I am pretty sure. Anyone know of an amp that will do that at a 4 ohm load but doesn't cost more then say 150? LMK thanks!

You can take a step up to the usx-2100 if you want too, but the amp in the link will put out close to 100 watts RMS.

I don't have to give it at least 130 inorder to be safe so I don't blow them and everything? What happens if you put 100 rms at them but they need more?

I just ordered the HD-62ef from theZeb.com and now looking at amps. Here's my list so far: (what max. Sound Quality)

JL Audio - 300/4 : it has all the features I am looking for plus great sound quality as mentioned here on these boards. The only draw back is that its only 75W x 4 ohms and it doesn't increase in power with lower ohms. But someone said they tested their amp and it was producing around 95W, so I think JL is underrating their amps.

PPI PCX480: this is also a great amp from the reviews but is to long (18.5" in length, I would have to place it in the back of the car. I was planning on putting it under the passenger seat for less power cable runs.)

How are you going to use those though. They only put out 85w maxx at 4 ohms.... Thats not to low for these speakers? I think they are rated between 120-130 rms.. Thanks!

Here's the email I received from CDT about how much power you will need for the HD-62ef:

A good 50-75watt work fine, these are very efficient and good 150 watt even better if gained correct.

150+ watt will sound a little bit better than 70 watt, if you keep the gain low.

RIght now I bridge 4 channels amp to 2 channels, giving CDT-HD62 200+ RMS watt, and they seem fine. (I keep the gain low) The mid-bass seems much improved by the increased wattage.

I recommand you to get a clean amp doing 100+ watt per channel. Either Precision Power (cheaper) or Phoenix Gold TI600.2
