Memphis used to be picky about fixing their own amplifiers. I had one that died, and it was purchased authorized. When I called Memphis to get a RMA, they told me to bring it back to where I purchased it.
If it wasn't purchased authorized, they used to not repair them. They didn't even want to see the amplifier, much less talk to you about it. This used to be typical of their response when you told them one of their products was purchased online: "Oh, you got it from Woofer's Etc? Sorry, but they are not an authorized dealer for our product, therefore we can offer no support. Thanks for calling though and have a nice day."
