what amp for 2 12" Lethal Injections

DONT do the Viper. From what I have heard even the 2500.1d Vipesr dont do anywhere near their 2,400RMS@2ohm so I am not confident in the 1200.1's ability.
I also dont like Brutus's, they are nasty. Remember this - you get what you pay for.

I would personally look for a solid 1500RMS@1ohm, so something like a Memphis 1500d, or a cheaper and just as good an alternative would be a PG Tantrum 1200.1. The Tantrums go on ebay for like $250 and the Memphis 1500's for much more.

But deffo NOT Brutus (I played with a 1500d and I really wasntr impressed). Or a Viper.
The Viper 1200 watt amp is the same board as the Crossfire VR1000, Memphis 1100D, so it does its rated power and more.

Same thing with the 2400 watt amp, just the HC version of the Orion 2500D...The Viper 2400 watt amp will drop super low for burps as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I have a Viper 1200d and they are very good amps it would supply plenty of power to push those subs. Believe I have had it for over a year and it is a solid amp. And I have been through tons of amps and this is by far one of the best.

ohh boy its starting... this is what happens when everybody gets a certain amp. They start rumors that an amp duznt put out its rated power where its clear that in previous tests it does more than the rated power... oh the power of peer pressure, and wanting to be different.

if you think it does what it does, go get it.

i have it on good authority that at 16v+ with protection out, a 2500D Viper couldnt do more than about 1500RMS.....now you tell me whats up. there were about 4 like that that i know of.

and yes, similar board, korean company called Chunglam make them - so what?

That's relative. There's a Viper 2500.1 over at a local dealer that does about 200x1 right now, because it's fried all to hell (Carbon scoring, anyone?). I doubt a Viper wouldn't do it's rated power unless there was some kind of intervention.

Unless the vipers you saw were wired at 8 ohm... Or he could have been talking about 1200 watt Vipers, which I have full faith could do 1500 watts at 16v.

OK guys I think Im gonna go with the Viper Audio D1200.1 for $280 on ebay. What size box should I go with. I know I want it ported?
Thanks

Not sure how well those speakers would like it, but the Viper 2500 (2500 watts at 2 ohms) is $355 on ikesound.com Just in case you think you might ever need more power.
