You never know what you will run into when it comes to car audio. Once a month I have to attend a important function. The third Saturday of every month. We have a nice dinner before we all get started. Anyway, when we were eating someone pulls up just pounding away, and I'm thinking its some young kid who's system sounds like a crap. Well, it turns out, it was one of the board members who happpens to be a friend of mine. I about fell over. Willie has a older camaro with 2 12's . I only got to hear it breifly, but other than needing a dynamat doctor, it sounded pretty good. (not as good as mine lol) What a shock to me. I had no ideal he was into car audio. Seems like I run more into people who have 2 12's and thats all you can hear is bass. I enjoy the complete package where evething jells togeather. Willie may be along those same lines. Once again proper tweeking is the key.

People who spend $500-$2000 + on a substage but $100 on a front stage get zero respect form me, as they don't know WTF sound quality is, or what music should sound like.Attention wh0res //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif If anyone wants to know what a system should sound like, go to a live concert.

i have way more into the components/processing/effort than i do in my bass setup. it was a long process getting the bass right, but still, a system needs to be well balanced IMO. at least mine was enjoyable to listen to rather than just plain stupid loud.

What about people who compete in SPL?

Its like sprinting and long distance running...It's the same sport but the two cant be compared

People who compete in SPL dont give 2 shits about their front stage since it wont add to their score. Their sole purpose is to fart the highest spl note they can, not to have the perfect tonal balance as well as impecable staging and imaging. And if the two cant be compared, why are you comparing them?

I'm not comparing them...And I know exactly what SPL is but thanks for the definition chief.

I was commenting on the fact this guy said he has no respect for people who spend 500-2000 on a substage but nothing on the frontstage which was why I brought up SPL...wondering how he cant have any respect for the people that compete in SPL

I almost dont even want to respond...

I'm 110% sure he excludes SPL competitors from his remark and that its only aimed at r-tards on the street with stock speakers and $2k substages...your inclusion of SPL competitors into his remark was just dumb and ignorant...

j3bus2k, go smoke a joint or something man, damm.

I didn't take the post very seriously after him saying if you want to hear how a system is supposed to sound, go to a live concert. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

personally, I am spending much more on my substage, just because the stuff is more expensive. My fronstage consists of the Focal 130V1 set, and will probably buy a kciker 250.2 to power them. But my subs go for around 400 each, and my nine.1 is about 350. I have made a decent attempt to improve my frontstage. But I do I agree that those who just buy subs and keep the factory/oem speakers and amp are a bunch of R-tards.
