thats a basic fact that you learn in 4th grade that the role niagara falls played in providing electricity to the great lakes region, and if i remember correctly, michigan is considered in the "great lakes region" along with cleveland, along with buffalo, and somewhat with chicago.

We all have something that some state has played a significant role in making the country what it is today. Like I said, some are not so good and others we couldnt live with out.
