so...tonight i'm leaving to NY....Today, while I was packing couple of suitcase and listening music through my stereo. I heard this weird a$$ noise coming out one of my towers speakers and I saw one of my 6 1/2 speaker surround is falling apart. When I come back next summer, I will replace all 4 speakers with this

old speakers I'm guessing. So you plan to just throw new drivers in with NO idea of the xover network in place? Not a good idea...

The crossover are 8 ohms...4 ohms per driver wires to 8 ohms which i need to replace a 4 ohms drivers. And my stereo is 100 rms x 2 in 8ohms and these Tang drivers are rated at 50rms in 4 ohms.

Classic dry rotted foam. Are they in a particularly humid area?
