yeah. markers are good..been there done that, but a much cheaper sub. Anymore I use a metallic sharpie to mark all the holes, remove the sub and then drill them.. Thats one of those "expensive lessons" :/
having an extra basket on hand also helps much much when cutting the actual mounting hole for the speaker. i cut my holes just enough so the basket barely fits and requires a little sanding. much easier then having to mount and remount and remount and remount a large heavy speaker just cause the holes not wide enough.
