what 6.5 components for around $150?

Im looking for a nice 6.5 component set for my mustang convertible that will be ran off of a rf 450.4 amp. Looking at spending around $150 or less. Any recommendations?

I didn't recommend the Diamonds since I auditioned both the D661s and D661a and thought that either tweeter variant was a little harsh and the midbass was lacking... seemed very similar to the Infinity Reference comps.

I HAD TO DO QUITE A BIT OF MESSIN AROUND IN ORDR TO GET (SRY caps) the mid bass where it sounded good. Once I put them in a sealed feberglass door pod that help them pick it up some. and I love the tweetes. I just blew one and jesus do i miss it.

Yea I heard the diamonds dont have a good midbass but sound nice.

MB Quartz have very harsh tweets, but you'll find that out when you audition them.

Looking at the POLK AUDIO MMC6500 and man they got some great reviews. Thinkin of going with them. How do the RSD65CS compare cause the polks are $170 anf the pg are like $90 with shiping included.

For under $200 shipped, the MMC6500's are a GREAT speaker. I'd go with those personally.

Agreed. I auditioned the MMC6500's extensively and was going to get them until I stumbled on a very nice deal for some SPX's.

How are you goign to power them, out of curiosity?

You going to be able to use all 4 amp channels and biamp them?

Or maybe bridge and send 125-150w rms to them?

Different amp altogether?

That was my next qustion. Im not sure that my rf 450.4 will have enough for them without bridging it. I wanted to keep my 5 1/4 in the back. I wish they sold a 2 ohm set. Do you think my amp will have enough to push them without bridging it?
