i just dont at all. you got to be pretty **** stupid to think i was talking about 1 amp doing 12kwrms. especially when i said i got 8 amps. i can adjust power accordingly from 1500-12kwrms. even my sig says 8 amps! i dont give a **** how i made it sound only an jackass or idiot would make the comment he made.

hence why I added the bit of, 'and then again...'

Well you're not going to get monster 18's with a 200-240 budget. What kind of application(how many subs, box type, desired tuning, etc) is this for?

no i was just curious him since he has such a small budget on subs. i didnt mean any harm was just curious. he got smart instead of pinting out i read his post wrong or took it wrong.

yep even i had to go back and look then i noticed in his sig that he has 8 ap amps blow it off dude

it could have been taken many ways 1 of which that he has 8 amps ranging in power from 1500 to 12kw

I just automatically noticed that eight 1500 watt amps would be 12kw. Anywho, now really important.

I picked up my re sx 18 d2 from a local shop for $230 out the door

but they only had one

and it was out on display - no box for it either

but it was brand new tho - im shure of that cause the rubber roll surround had no holes poked thru for mounting screws. I had to do that myself when I got er in the vette.

if I had to buy more subs again - and ended up going with an 18"

it would be the IB unit from FI and I would take out the backside of my back seat ( in my 72 plymouth ) out and build a double layer plywood back and mount the sub to it - using the trunk for ib

and then just make some thick foam pads to velcro around the sub to still use the seat for sitting back there - so it can still function some what as a rear seat.

ive had the re sx 18 in the vette for a long time now ( maby 1.5 years ) - and I did use good wood to build the box - but it has become mushy. the box was pretty ok build I guess - but over time being punished daily it has weakened the wood of it - and needs re doing now as it flexes some and sounds not as sharp as it did when it was a new box

so if you do end up building a box.... make shure its bomb proof
