It probably says some where on the package something about being 1000Gbs. Every USB stick and HD has info about it. HD manufacturers use SI prefixes not binary prefixes. The SI prefix calls for 1000^x power. Binary is 1024^x power. Which means 1000Gbs = 1 terabyte. Now OP get your head out of your *** and quit trying to be all tech.
