Wep keys are WAYYYY more easier then wpa but wpa can be done.

What do you mean by figuring them out? If you have a Linksys wireless adapter, and a linksys router/hub/gateway, you can get them keys by just pressing a few buttons.

for wep, brute force with dictionary or rainbow tables.

for wpa, man in the middle? never tried.

Try Airsnort its a program on a bootable linux cd "Knoppix STD". I am not sure if they have a windows version. It sorta "grabs" the pacekts out of the air and also has a tool to decode them as well. If its a private source its going to take longer than a buisness or something with more internet traffic .

got a bootable linux OS from backtrack but either it doesnt have the files its supposed to or it isnt compatible with my wifi card (orinoco silver)
