Went to circuit city today too look

I liked the whole "we are the first to offer a single din unit with a hard drive"
No...you aren't, jackasses.
Really. Becuase other than the AVN7000 I can't think of another single DIN "FLIP UP" with a 20Gb NAV loaded hard drive, off the top of my head anyways.

He said nothing about a flip out. He said, we are the first to have a single din unit with a built in hard drive.

But...they aren't.

Also, they said that with ESN, you'll get a 'brand new!!!!!!' radio...but, after they told all of the managers this, they went on to say that they will most likely receive refurbs ...

Well, I am pretty sure he was referring to the AVN7000. How do I know this? Because it's the only 1 DIN unit they make with a hard drive. So since it is a flip up, It would be the first of its kind.

As far as the refurbs being sent out as ESN claim replacements, that is how they have always done it for us. Also refurbs have always been sent out as advanced exchanges on warranty claims. Which is also going bye bye, along with the 3 year warranty. All because of the big box effect.

- RIP ECLIPSE USA 1988-2006-

We are still morning the loss of the last major supplier of high quality head units/amps/speakers dropping the exclusive support of the specialty shop and going the way of the big box store.

I heard that Roadshop and BB have different accomodations so that no vendor gives the stuff away and monopolizes all the salesman and installers cars (so if Alpine has a "regular" 95% off of retail program but the going rate is like 60% off for every other brand, Alpine's "Best Buy" accomodation is brought in line.)

We already have the AVN7000 and the 5435 on display here.
They're on sale this week too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
That's like asking a Ford salesman to explain how an F1 McLaren works.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Complete travesty.

The eclipse coaxials **** balls. Like... really bad... horrible.
Too bad they're replacing the infinity line-up we're losing in coaxials... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I'm glad you said that, because that mindset permeates all big box stores in all categories.

We all know that THE ONLY reason to bring in Eclipse is due to the reputation their HEAD UNITS bring to the table. Logically then, stores should replace good speakers with Eclipse, because of their reputation with HEAD UNITS.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

CC just traded good source gear for good speakers. Sounds like a wash to me.
