I speed because I don't prioritize my planning. Like I said, I was cooking home because I wanted a substantial amount of sleep before I choose to wake up at six and run. I work fast food so I'm always getting off that late. I'm also the guy everyone asks for money/favors so I chose to make the time for that stuff too. Speeding is the most convenient way to do that. I don't break any other laws that seem important to me and I'm an aware speeder. Just in straight lines where hitting people isn't an issue. Speed limits exist for the road conditions and lighting capabilities permitted to be safe through studies of USDOT determined to be safe for human capabilities and perception abilities. A lack in this perception, would injure others. Not the people who are smart about it and drive the ******* speed limit because thy understand it is there for a reason in the value that it is in.
I fixed a few things, your fingers must have slipped. I mean it would be illogical for you to have to pay the consquences for this ticket because of taking aid to someone else's requests right? That's simply immoral.
Sleep is absolutely essential to maintaining a healthy lifestyle as is exercise, the 15 minutes a day neccessary to provide sufficient strain to all the parts of the body to keep proper function just RACKS my 16 minute a day sleep schedule, I don't know how you could possibly be doing better, regards to your perseverance.
I have also found that collecting fallen bank cards from people's pockets and reading their information at the ATM helps the community as a whole. In the case that a person could be struck and forget this information, rest assured I will be right there to aid in memory. Just need to ROLL THROUGH a STOP sign.
Now from what I know according to the safety limits of what vehicles are deemed road worthy and what roads are deemed car worthy, speed limits are usually within 10-15mph of "safe" road conditions for all cars. Including visibility of an animal crossing the road, visibility of possible incoming obstacles from the side of the road, curves of the road according to the embankment of the turn and road quality, the road quality itself, the time it takes a certified brake to slow a vehicle, the amount of pitch it takes to put a vehicle near spinning out, the likelyhood of death in case an axle shatters, driveshaft breaks, tire comes loose or pops, or time needed to safely brake in case of raining turds from the sky disabling visibilty.
Driving fast is fun, not safe. Planning for proper amounts of road time and scheduling is safe, not fun. Having more time to enjoy your unplanned time due to not taking on others responsibilities is fun, and safe. Court is not fun, not safe.
Unless you live 20-30 miles from work, and the extra 10 minutes of sleep you will get for near felony speeding is that crucial to the bags under your eyes, or that extra 10 minutes not running because you are doing more focused exercises is the only thing keeping your heart pumping, plan. Don't start doubling speed limits unless you doubled your braking power, doubled grip of tires, halved your reaction time, and are ready for no license, no voting, and about 2 months full-time salary of fines.
I'm not trying to fault the police officer, I also didn't say speed limits were stupid, but that they exist because of stupid people. Without speed limits there would be insane wrecks, all the time, because as a whole people wouldn't have a clue when it's safe to go as fast or when to go slow.
Please do explain the Autobahn then. Higher road standards, higher road regulation, higher speed limit due to less unpredictability? Hmm.
Crashes are made to be a fraction of a percent on a consistent basis, anything else and driving would be considered suicide.
This being said, is is possible to speed while staying within that safe percentage? Yes. The percentage of danger just goes up as mph does. I have gotten a friend from downtown to a not near hospital in less than 5 minutes in an SUV because he was sick and started to seize in the backseat through 3 people holding the seizures. I was also willing to give a life to save one, and he collapsed literally pulling into the ER driveway. Was it safe? No. Stupid? Yes. Reasoned and near logical? That is up to the person, I had a good reason to risk my life from one person not looking before they rolled a stop sign or a rock in the wrong place, did you?
If you can honestly answer that question yes, then I have no qualm. Just keep things like flashers, highbeams/flashing, horn, and situational awareness to allow other drivers to keep safe while you do what needs to be done.
