i can hardly hear my subs on the outside of my car

its the weirdest thing in the inside their loud as hell and the minute i step out i can barely hear them i dont have any kind of insulation or nothing its just a stock 88 cadillac i new it would be well insulated since it was a caddi but dang

any farther than 40 or 50 feet and you cant hardly hear them

does anybody know why this is?

if you run beside the car while your driving, why would you want it louder 'really' outside? Whom cares what it sounds like outside, if it's loud as heck to you inside, that's where your moeny is spent.

x3 on that.... The last thing you want is someone breaking into your car beause you want people to hear you when your around them. I get alot of rattles in my 81 deville, going to deaden it some more in a couple of months.

i figured these were the answers i was goin to get

but at least 50 percent of the people that buy systems get them to show off and if they say they dont there freakin liars

i didnt really want it to show off but when people ride up beside me in a hooptie playin there blown stock speakers as loud as they will go it would be nice to turn mine up for a second and make them realize where they are on the foodchain does that make any sense:uhoh:

i live on a nice road where the houses are like 2 or 3 acres away from each other (rich people road is what my friends say) and it would be harder to break into a trunk rather than like a suv or truck

Many people do buy stuff just to show off, but if these were your intensions, then you bought the wrong subs, not to mention it looks like you have a sealed box. Try building a ported box up to specs, and im sure you will get more of the results that you are looking for.

That doenst mean ish.... Sometimes the last place you think someone would break into a car at would be there first choice. Someone broke into my car last week at my job, right infront of a very busy road, and stole almost 2000 dollars worth of my cds....

Ha. I'll never forget my first job. Working at Subway. I was 16. Just getting into car audio. Had an 85 Cougar with some RF series 1 15s back then. Was pretty loud and would shake all the windows in the store.

One night this guy pulls up in a brand new Maxima. I didn't think anything of it, until he opened his door. All of a sudden, I heard, "BOOM!" He shut the door and it was gone. Curious as I was, I asked him if I could see it. He takes me out there and I got my first introduction to the world of sound deadening. He had 4 Mohawk subs, which I'm sure Polecat knows fondly, and an Orion HCCA100. I will NEVER forget that!

Well I used to do the same thing, bumping down the road playing my shit as loud as it could go(well till my vision blurred) thinking I was king shit! Wow how I was mistaken. I had my whole car stolen because I went through the wrong neighborhood and blam the next day at work my car was gone. I had over 5gs in audio gone, 1500 worth of brand new rims and tires, 2000 worth of DVDS and cds and not to mention my car had to be crushed due to them beating the shit out of it. So think twice about wanting to boom and have everyone take a look and be like ****, that will be mine tomorrow. I dont care if it is a nice place or the shittest place. You always have to watch where you bump. So my theory for you is, just enjoy it the way you have it. Alot of people have to spend an arm and a leg to deaden there car so there are no rattles.
