What amazes me is that at this point, I can't believe anyone would actually defend the idiot. And I don't hate the guy personally, but I certainly don't agree with his ideology, politics or where he has been taking this country. I wasn't hugely happy with the former occupant of the oval office either, but shit, if we had 9+% unemployment for over 2 years with Bush and $3.50+/gal. gas, we would never hear the end of it.

He has directly addressed the tough issues with his best ideas, its on congress and the public to accept or reject them. He has never hidden from the issues unlike W. He attacked major stuff right on. We need higher taxes to have the america everyone wants so he proposed higher taxes. Not his fault americans want everything for free. And we are still the least taxed major country, yet the citizens complain. And dontget me started on jobs. Everyone complains about not having jobs, but don't want a bigger govt which would create jobs. Private sector ain't hiring yet that's one man's fault smh

We are growing the size of government bigger than it has ever been and it hasn't created any jobs. In fact we are worse now than before we tried it. You are stating your opinions as fact even though obama proved right before our very eyes that your and his ideas DO NOT WORK. Higher taxes aren't needed. Spending cuts are needed. The America we all want is one where government gets out of our way and lets us all do our own thing and succeed. Higher taxes and more regulations make it very risky for people to take risks and start businesses and employ people. The private sector is where the money comes from. The public sector merely seizes it.

You would blame Bush for each problem and defend obama... giving him a free pass when clearly THIS is his economy. Don't try to act all enlightened when you are just as guilty. At the end of the day, you have gotten what you want. We have delved further into socialism than ever before in American history. (The government owns car companies and to prove it they appointed union members to the board of directors of GM.) (The government passed a healthcare bill that more than 60% of the population VEHEMENTLY DO NOT WANT, lied about the price tag of it, and nobody read it before they passed it.) These things and more have caused a backlash. Job creation has stopped. The price of everything continues to go up. The economy is stagnant. It doesn't matter what you believe the cause to be.... these socialist ideas that the new democrat party embraces are not fixing it. They are in fact making it much worse. You can knock Bush all day long but it does not help obama's cause at all. He hasn't fixed anything. He has merely given the country a first hand example of what socialism does to an economy. The country REJECTS it. You can see this with the most recent elections.

I don't know if that is true or not but I don't think at this time it's relevant. Racism deserves no place at this table.

i am not a racist, as i said, just stating facts. my comment was toward the op. yeah, this country has seen better days, the only they will return is if we all pitch in and do our part. i voted for the man, do i agree with everything he's done? no. i am just truly glad that it's not my job. i have never truly trusted the gov no matter who is in the oval.

You realize all presidential 'ideas' are always that of his cabinets, yes? The people the Pres appoints are the people that make decisions. He's come up with nothing. He hired people that stole their ideas from the house/senate. He gets to veto everything unless he claims credit. People think he's the best thing since sliced bread. Things sure seem to have worked out well for him.

I didn't vote for him, and if you think the president really has that much control of lawmaking or spending you need to perhaps sign up for Civics 101 along with Trotsky here at the very least and probably some advanced economics studies.

What precisely is "my group"? For that matter what is your "group"? What specifically has your group done to improve things recently? What exactly is going on now that is so much different than what was going on 5 years ago. We still have out of control spending, some of the highest tax burden in the world, even more and larger scale undeclared wars of occupation, and wide open borders.

Don't worry, I'm sure this time "your group" will get their guy elected and he/she will really square things away.
