Alright, I've had my three way active setup in a for like a week now, so I had my EQ, crossover, and gain settings all setup already... well, I left a CD in the stock head unit when I took it out, so I figured I'd hook it back up real quick just to eject the disc (The Oncoming Storm by Unearth=very valuable) and I also hooked up the remote antenna wire when hooking back up my 8053, WRX remotes need to be powered by a 12V source... but I highly doubt that had any affects on my situation...
I'm not sure if it's a problem or not, but it's bugging me... after I get evrything hooked up and readjust my settings to exactly where they were before I had no where near the output at the same volume level as before. I had them setup to distort at a certain volume and I knew I shouldn't go higher than that depending on the recording or whatnot... but now I can just go way past that level with no cne breakup and no clipping. I haven't touched the gains on the amps from before, so I do not understand why the output has dropped. I don't really want to turn the gains uo more from where they already are because I'd imagine they'd start clipping soon (8V pre outs and the gains are already 1/4 of the way up)
But I got to do something to get the output like before... for now, I'm, about to cut the gains all the way down, disconnect the postive battery terminal and go back to resetting it all up...
but if anybody knows what is going on here and has any advice, that'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Justin
