Weird noise when pressing head unit buttons

Hi,

First of all this audio system is on a boat.

Clarion CMS1 headunit, an Alpine KTP-445U amplifier powering 2 Alpine SPR-M700 (bridged mode) and another Alpine KTP-445U amplifier powering 4 Alpine SPS-M600.

Inputs = Low Level RCA.

Power = Direct to boat battery via 8 AWG

Ground = Direct to boat battery via 8 AWG

Yesterday my two amps and the headunit was getting it'S power from an two existing power wires (14 AWG) and everything was fine but when raising the volume too much the amps would shut down (not enough power).

So I wired the two amps directly to the battery via 8AWG (Power and ground). Left the head unit plugged into boat wiring.

Now the trouble is, when pressing any button on the headunit or when it changes songs, there is a weird 1 second sound coming from the speakers... like a star wars laser firing or something.

Didn't do that when the amps were plugged into factory harness...

Also mind that it is doing it while the engine is off and no other acccesories are on. Also when the music plays it sounds allright from what I can hear.

Any ideas??

Thanks

I'd do ^above. Also check to see if any of the RCAs or speaker wire is crossing over or close to any of the electrical wire. The wires could be picking up noise from the power cables.
