Well, i bought a ton of edead. Front doors are each double layered, back doors single layered, the firewall and front floor is double layered, rear hatch is double layered. Pretty much everywhere but the rear seats, underneath the sub box, and the roof.

My issue is, i still get quite a bit of rattle. The console in between the front two seats on the roof rattles a bit, but that should be an easy fix with some foam or something. My rear doors seem to rattle quite a bit still though, but the whole door. When i open the door, the rattles go away. Does anyone have some kinda solution they could share for this?

The rear hatch rattles a ton as well, mainly the window against the hatch. I was thinking about putting this foam stripping stuff i bought from home depot in between where the glass rests on the hatch, but im not sure how well it will hold up.

Open to reccomendations! let me know what you all use.

Turn the volume down.

j/k

It sounds like deadening isn't your problem. You just need to isolate each rattle and fix them one at a time, they will all be different. Empty you car for one, you never know you might just have some stuff laying on the floor hitting other things. Check your spare tire, a lot of cars have the jack and lugwrench and all that stuff just kind of stuffed together in a bag or something, could cause rattles.

Even after what I thought was a thorough deadening of my trunk, I still had rattling. Then I strategized and listened for each and every rattle, before spending even more money on deadening. I got rid of most of them but there are still a few. I agree with spoonraker, you have to find what's causing them and see what you can do to fix them. It's a pain though. There's rattles I can't get to and it's really frustrating. So now I just don't turn up the volume so loud and I dont hear them. It doesn't help that my mazda3 has really thin sheet metal and the whole interior is plastic. I thought laying down a whole mess of deadening would solve all my problems but I was wrong.

Good luck! I hope you find and eliminate all your rattles.
