watch the pats/raiders game

Having had the displeasure of watching Belicheck coach the Browns, subsequently losing control of the team, cutting Bernie for no reason other than his ego, having the most vanilla offensive playbook I've ever seen, over-riding Nick Saban's defensive schemes in lieu of the prevent, and generally being one of the worst coaches for a team and city that is wraught with bad coaches, there's no way in hell I'll every say he's the best coach in the league. I hope he chokes on Tom Brady's dick and dies a miserable, urine-filled death.
See...that's why I'll also never consider Belicheck as a top coach.

Well you couldn't seem to come up with your own reasons.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Couldn't seem to come up with my own reasons? I pretty much said the same thing gauntlet said, but watered down.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No you didn't, you just pretty much said he had a bad record in Cleveland and his success now seems to just be due to his coordinators(with no reasons to back that up)

I still don't see any reasons why Mora or Cowher are BETTER than Belichick. That is what I am really interested in.

As for Belichick getting rid of Kosar, that was just a sign of things to come in the NFL. The coach has to have control, and when it comes to player or coach, somebody has to win. The NFL is business. Players find that out all the time. I think the biggest factor affecting the Browns was the fact that they knew they were moving to Baltimore(which I think is just a horrible blackmark on the NFL). The Browns fans are some of the most loyal diehard fans around, and that move should never have happened.

I thought the reasons were understood. I thought we all knew what happened in Cleveland. I know you probably knew.

Doesn't matter, anyways. I gave my opinion...I don't need reason to back it up.

I don't even know why I'm in this thread...I'm a college fan...screw the NFL.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I know Cleveland was a disaster(for a variety of reasons). I was just looking for why the coaches you mention are better than a guy who has been a part of 6 superbowls(and on the winning side 5 times). I don't watch much college football, but I will check out a few bowl games. I just prefer the NFL.

I agree that it was a sign of NFL coaches getting power-hungry, but it completely distanced himself from the city and permanently angered every single Browns fan, and he knew what the ramifications would be. Even when they made the playoffs two years later fans were still calling for his head. Cleveland fans are incredibly loyal to people they love, and hold equally passionate grudges (see the Tim Couch/Kelly Holcomb controversy). That year I think the Browns were 5-2 under Kosar, then he was cut in the middle of the season, and they finished 7-9. Everyone has hated him since.
