Warranties?

hybrid audio warranties if sold to other buyer, they have pretty good warranty!

and also offer 60 percent to buy back your speakers to upgrade to a new level

To the OP. A lot of the mainstream companies won't offer much of anything at all in the way of your warranty. But a lot of these internet brands like Sundown, and DD, and Skar, and Crescendo and so on, will offer very real warranties. They know you're installing it yourself. They know it gets sold off. For the most part they are transferable. And if you have any question about it, you can always just email them directly and get in touch and a response right away.

If it was dealer installed, they have the sound knowledge that when it left the shop, it was set to work within manufactured guidelines. This doesn't keep morons from screwing with the settings and blowing it, but it does keep most products working for the extent of the warranty. If nothing, it provides a controlled environment that a dealer can feel safe of keeping a profit while warranting the small percentage of products that will fail.
One thing is wrong with that though.... And that is... a lot of shops have no fucking idea what they're doing. So it all falls apart on that premise.

i believe sundown audio does as well
Our amps have always offered warranty transfer with a copy of the original receipt, yes.

We don't do it with woofers, though.

Also we do a quite a bit for people looking to trade-in and upgrade from existing Sundown gear regardless of warranty status.

because my views on warranties involves politics how? I was merely pointing out what it looks like from the companies perspective. If they warranted every consumer caused failure, they wouldn't be in business and you wouldn't have them as an option to purchase from any ways.
I'm actually not voting because I know all politicians have what's best for them in mind and not the average citizen.

From your post, I am sure you are voting for Obama and expect shit for free.
No I expect companies to stand by their products. Those companies all sold the American people out when they sent our jobs away to China and India. Also, I work hard for what I have, thank you very much. They owe us more than they can ever repay, and those companies don't pay their fair share in taxes. I'm sorry I expect a defective item to be replaced at no charge to me. Those products are marked up 300% by the time you purchase it and yes they CAN afford to replace them. A small start up company probably not, but Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood... a new set of speakers wouldn't hurt them. I can understand if someone messed up there equipment by misinstallation or misuse to not be replaced, but that's why there are "limited warrenties".

You should always vote for the person who stands to look out for your best interest, and if your not making 200k plus a year the Republicans couldn't care less about you.

If you love guns more than food, own a large business, make most of your money on investments, you probably should vote republican.

If you ever want to collect social security (what you pay for in every paycheck), are poor and want an education, etc. then you should vote democratic. How about a tax break for the middle class for once?

And yes we need to cut programs that aren't working and get a ballanced budget, no one is going to compromise so we are screwed either way.

I'm not poor or rich by any means, I fit perfectly into what the gov't considers "middle class". The largest tax break I would have ever received was by the hands of Bush Jr. and Obama repealed its use.

Never once have I said I was voting for Romney, as a matter of fact I have denied such claim. Thanks for dragging this thread horrifically off topic.
My bad... but yeah warrenties.

I am pissed about them because Alpine told me I had no warrenty since I bought the head unit from an "unauthorized" dealer. Cd player ate my cd...

I agree. Doesn't matter who you bought it from, unless abused, the material should be covered under its 1-3 year manufacturer's warranty. Buying from unauthorized dealers doesn't make gear magically have a shorter half life...
