Want to upgrade alpine ivad300 NEED HELP!!!!

Hi all........ i want to upgrade my current alpine deck in my 05 altima..... im interested in the iva-w505 but im a little confused. Does anyone know which unit is better? (more overall features). Why did the iva-d300 cost $1,500 at its release and the new iva-w505 cost $1,000 ($500.00 less). Im really interested in purchasing the new deck but don't want to feel as if im down-grading because of the price...............any advice???????????
