Want to go ported...small problem.

Well I've decided I want to go ported. The only problem is... I dont have the manual for my sub anymore, and since it's a little old, I can't seem to find it online. It's a 12" Soundstream Rubicon. I did, at one time, see the manual, and I remember the vented size being 2ft/3. But I have no idea how much port area I need, or the length, or what I should tune it to. Is that info in the manual, or am I supposed to figure it out?

I really know pretty much nothing about building a ported box, so any help is appreciated, and if this is a stupid question, then I apologize in advance.

I'm not sure, I remember looking for it on the sub when I had it out, and didn't see anything.

All I know, is that it's called the "Rubicon 12", and the enclosure sizes are 1.5 for sealed, and 2 ft.3 (i think) for ported. But nothing about port sizes, which is what I need.

just go 2.25 cuft 34 hz thats a sweet spot 30 - 40 sqin of port

I had checked there when I was building my sealed box for it... and the link for the manual was dead... I figured I'd check again since you reminded me about it, and it's working now. I'ts not the complete manual but it's got the port sizes and tuning freqs. 2 ft/3 at 29hz with a 4x16.5" port width and length //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you download WinISD Pro Alpha, the Rubicon 12 parameters are in the basic database that comes in the archive file.
