Hey guys i wanted to put some neon in my trunk i know sounds easy but i got some questions and im sure people have done this before but i have a street glow neon and i wanted to cut off the cig lighter and splice the wires one to a power source off a speaker maybe or something in the trunk and ground it but heres the problem how could i make it so i could make turning the neon in the trunk on and off any ideas let me know please plan on doing this 2morro

could i use just like a regular switch and maybe like mount it on the side so that the switch was hidden and what could i use as the 12v power source?

You could hook up to the fuse box, or the cig lighter, or run a wire from the battery WITH A FUSE. The switch will work.

Just run a power wire from your battery or something. The go get a switch and wire it up from there

i used the power wire from my amp, and a switch. anything that is on when the car is on you could tap into. but i would run a wire from the battery

i ran 3 4" fan off the remote line. goes on and off with the system that way...never had any issues...as long as the rmt line is fused at the hu...which it should be anyways. neon is low power, you should be able to do the same thing.
