ok my alpine should be commin in today, so i want to go ahead and pick up some 4x6's for my fronts.... they will be run off the headunit's 50x4 so nothing to fancy, i just want some really loud 4x6's so when i crank it it wont be drown'd out the bass

also another question, what spectrum will the 4x6's cover sound wise? like the subwoofer will cover all low end bass , but since the 4x6's are in the front shouldent i keep them to higher frequencys? and have the 6x9s in the back cover mid-bass? or can the 4x6's cover high and mid but still sound good since its in the front? (i guess to me it would seem wierd to hear midbass comming from front but feel the real bass comming from the back)

Depends on the speaker itself...but somewhere from 125hz or 150hz on up.

You'll want them to cover as much of the midbass area as they possibly can also.

No. In a proper setup, rearfill shouldn't even be necessary. Ideally you want all of the frequencies to sound like they are coming from infront of you (yes, even subbass should sound like it's infront of you).

They'll cover all of the midrange and some of the midbass.

I have a set of 4x6 infinity kappas I'll give you for $50 shipped. They were used for a few months in a bravada. I had to cut away some of the corners to make them fit but it doesn't affect the sound. Let me know your email and I'll send you some pics.

I have the Infinity Reference and they sound pretty good, as far as mid bass they are pretty decent and the highs are also pretty decent too.
