want a grand national with less then 10 miles on it?

Circa 1987, the Buick GNX was GM's fastest production sedan ever and remains among Detroit's quickest and most collectible vehicles of all time. It was created to commemorate the final production run of the Buick Grand National. It's a little bolder in appearance and it has considerable mechanical improvements. 1987 was the only production year and 547 were made, all optioned identically with a serialized plaque on the dash

In a collaboration between Buick and ASC/McLaren, Grand Nationals were assembled at the Buick assembly line and brought to ASC for the conversion. The 547 were allocated to dealerships based on their previous sales. The word was out that the GNX was even faster than the Grand National so dealerships enjoyed marking them up well above their sticker price of $29,290. Some famous customers were Burt Reynolds, Reggie Jackson, and Charles Schwab.

Since everyone knew the GNX was a collector car, a sizeable share were purchased on speculation. Many are still "on the lam" in garages across the country with almost no miles on them. Others were treated like any daily driver, built into track cars, or even wrecked. No idea how many are left, but you probably won't encounter one outside a car show.

As beautiful as that car is, I don't see the point in buying it new, especially for that much. I would want to do a full custom job anyway. Nicer paint, motor work, update the interior, etc. Most everything would get replaced/rebuilt, so anything under 75k miles would be just fine for me. I have no interest in cars for their collector value, I like them because I want to drive them. A car like that should only be garaged overnight or during the winter.

repoast!
Awesome car though. There is one down the road from me sitting on blocks. I so want to knock on his door and ask him hom much for it, but he would probably say something like 40k!
So get saving. Cash in whatever college fund your kid has and just ride her so she does well enough in school to get a scholarship.

Oh, and get her involved in golf. A decent female golfer is almost guaranteed a scholarship at any school with a golf program.

Plenty of loopholes out there to get you your GNX

I rather buy a GTR lol. Even though its new and rare, way too much. Hopefully when the new owner buys that car, also takes good care of it and enter it into car shows or something.

Nice car but rediculously priced. And thats in texas vehicles are normally cheaper there than here in cali. I wonder how much a dealer here in cali would charge if they had this car:crazy:
