Walmart Deep Cycle Batteries!!

from the information I have gathered - I may be wrong

but

your amp will ask the electrical system for a ton of power verry quickly.

but the battery will only give off so much power at a certan rate.

lets say your playing a heavy bass song and ( made up #s here ) your amp is asking the electrical system for 50amps but your batterys are only capable of giving off 30amps then the amp you are running will not be able to fully power up and feed your sub.

this is hard on the amp - and hard on the electrical system.

having a battery like a kenetic that is agm cell and specificly designed to give off its power at extremely fast rates is what you need for car audio purposes.

i have a kenetic 800 in my rear storage compartment in the vette and it has helped tremendusly along with doing the big 4 in my car. I used to bass out down to 11 volts and now it hardly ever drops to 13.2 and if I play that hard for any leingth of time the sub will get a little stinky. lol

but dont get a red or yellow they are almost just as bad for audioget a real fking agm not a pretender
Why not yellowtops? They've been fairly popular lately?

Please edumacate me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

For me, I'd rather have a battery built for the soul purpose for car audio.

I see a lot of ppl using yellow tops as well, so why not them either?

ed me 2 plz.

experience is an awesome teacher //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

deep cycle batteries are meant to be discharged slowly over time and then recharged slowly on a trickle charge. they are slow at discharging and the esr is very high. they have a very high failure rate when used in a way that demands constant high current spikes from them while concurrently being charged.

All good car audio capable batteries except a few, such as the 8400 and other multicells are deep cycle batteries.....................

It's like you have multiple tabs of CA up and posting on all of them!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
**** you found me out lolz i actually have dual screens with 4 or 5 tabs on each //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

give this man a prize for a very accurate answer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

They are good battaries. They aren't AGM though.
you are correct //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they are a wet spiral wound agm mat hybrid capcell and are horrible pieces of shit !! lolz

I also forgot to add in my corvette that I have a optima yellow top up front - and the kenetic 800 in the rear.

the yellow top was definately overpriced for what it is.

it recharges like a turd - and is constantly venting. it sucks at holding a charge above 12.6 as my kenetic will rest at 13.3 all day.

the optima yellow top will be a good battery to start your car - and run a small system. like less than a thousand w. total if you have the big 3 done.

but dont get an optima yellow top and expect the world from it.

if I had the knoledge then of what I do now, I would of got a pair of kenetic 2000s for the price I paid for my yellow top and k800 and used one under the hood as a starting battery - and one in my rear storage as the car audio battery.

I realley cant say enough good things about my kenetic 800

it was one of my only car audio purchaces that has fully lived up to its hype.

Yellow tops and redtops are a waste of money imo, far better for less money can be had. They do not have enough ah for me to justify the price.....
I figured that much. I'm guessing ppl use these popular red/yellow tops b/c they dont know that there are better batts out there.

Ill say this in general..Walmart batteries are garbage..Have an accord..1st battery had close to no voltage..post damage I believe (someone drop??)..2nd battery held charge for 6 months..3rd battery held charge for a year..so i thought i had a leak somewhere; tested down everything with multimeter - removed fuses etc- went to autozone and got a quality battery and it is still doing its thing after 2 years.
