Walling off a 1999 suburban

Well, after my last setup getting jacked, i believe imma build a wall behind my 2nd row seating(3rd row removed). I have most definately never done anything this big. I plan on using 4, 15's, and already have a sundown saz-300d. I also have to get a couple good batteries. I want to keep the amp, and batteries easily accessible from the rear doors(rear of wall area). I would like all 4 subs off centered towards the passenger side, and the port comming out behind the drivers rear seat. How would i start this daring project? should i frame it all in with 2x4's....as i have seen done on alot of builds? wat abou the 2 rear side windows? black them out, and cover them with mdf? as i said, i have never done a build like this, so im most defiantely gonna need alot of help this time around...lol. Or is anyone on here has a walled suburban, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated! thanks, Ed

5% tint on the side rear windows, plus paint the box there black. i can still see some of my wall if the sun hits it right and i look hard, but with tint you should be ok. why only 4 15"s? i mean you have a lot more room even behind those seats. a buddy of mine had a 96 with this wall:

sounded good considering they were L7's, i believe it was tuned in the low 30's, maybe 33hz. not sure on the box size. wasnt anything crazy on the meter, it could do about 150.5-151 on music sealed up on TL, but it could play it ALL day literally at probably 150db. he never burped it, just a daily beater. he was running 3 zx1500.1's, so no crazy power either. he traded it for another burban lifted way up on 49" Irocs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

yea, i have been considering making a slide in unit...them making finishing panels for the front and rear. I may do 4, 18's....auctually, i really want too. I do only wanna run the one 30000d thou.....not trying to go TOTALLY balls to the wall here....just want something different, and a tad louder than my past setups......thanks for the POSITIVE input fellaz.....keep it comming!

ooooo new 30000d sundown? lol j/k

what 15"s or 18"s?

yep...cant wait to get some subs to hook this 3000d up to...lol. Havent decided on subs just yet. want some decent, LOUD, 18" subs.....more spl based if possible.....with out totally breaking the bank.....im also up for recomendations on subs also.....but i have the 3000d already, so thats set in stone! lol

i have yet to see an install using the 21" dps.....

makes me sad sometimes.

to the op

design the box first then figure out which would be easier to build it inside the vehicle or to build it outside then slide it in.

id really like to keep it using one amp. Im sure it will still be plenty loud for me...daily....with 3-4000 watts, and 4, 18's. just need to get some ideas on how i go about designing this beast...lol
