Well here comes the bad luck….

20k kept protecting at 47 volume and up. Thought it was the 20k so we pulled it and threw my 10k in.. Played for 5 mins and kept protecting. Then driver side sub started smoking with no music. Shut it down and pulled subs. Coil came apart on one and had bad coil rub.

So I'm still going to have the 20k sent in for repairs(RCAs were a little loose) and to make sure its 100% and Jason is going to pay for a 21" recone. Im going to pay to have the other 21 reconed….. $215 each.

BTW They were .7 ohm subwoofers.. NOT 1.4 ohm like I was told…. So I'm reckoning both to D1s.

While I have the subs torn apart I'm going to re paint them. I hate the purple.. Thinking Orange or just Black. Orange would match the theme of my car but might hurt resale later on. But Ill never even see the baskets in the wall. Just a small part of the mounting ring because I'm not using gaskets. Will have Carbon dust caps with orange stickers on them.

I liked the purple, but orange looks good on the 21" frames too.
