buck was gracious enough to design me a 4ft^3 box tuned 32hz. im gonna be running them off 1ohm on a 1800.1D audiopipe. does anyone here have any experience with walls in a cobalt? i know when i turn the box forward and subs forward its much quieter unless its clear to the back of the trunk. and it only sounds okay moved all the way up facing forward (like a wall) is if the box is large enough to block most gap. so i dont know if sealing it off with some great stuff foam and running these as a wall would be better than all facing rear about 1ft from the trunk? just want some opinions.

Try just stuffing the gaps with blankets or something to get an idea of how it will be before you use foam to seal everything off.

oh yeah, i will do that for sure, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with a cobalt wall. and what they ran.

So what did he recommend? I'm going to start my build soon and im stuck where u are lol. I want to run 2 dd 3512s or the 9512s vs just running one dd 9515 and walling/sealing it off

There is no point in walling off 2 12's...... Just make an spl box...

I have two single spl boxes tuned 38hz they are nice but when facing forward they sound like**** so maybe just face them to the rear?

Actually there is a very good reason he did it and it has to do with cancellation.
