Screws in a box just act as a clamp, nails work just fine when done properly. Ask ramos, he had a big thread about it a few years ago comparing two boxes built exactly the same aside from the screws/nails.

Do they use a nail gun? If so then that works very well. IMO it is easier, faster, and cleaner then screws.
