VT Shooter on Campus

Let me clear a few things up for those who are talking about the two hour span with what I know:

1) there is still dispute whether they were two separate incidents

2) it takes at least an hour to get stories straight, witnesses interviewed, leader sgathered to even begin to make a decision on closing campus...which takes even longer when it comes to actually clearing classrooms

3) it take an incredibly long time to try to send 30,000 emails to a listserve through webmail...the server is slow and unreliable. Phone messages were also given.

4) with the information they had, the campus was believed to be safe

Bottom line...don't listen to the media. For the most part, those trying to blame the police and leaders of the university are complete douches trying to find a scapegoat. What we have is an unavoidable situation that could not have ever been predicted. It's easy to try to find ways to make it better after the fact. It's like trying to say we should have killed Hitler when he was a struggling art student. Who was to know?

It's been 15 hours and the killer still hasn't been ID'd....there had been no names of anyone deceased officially for at least 10-12 hours after the shootings.
I'm not talking about the killer, who could've shot them and left without being seen. You seem to be employing a double standard when it comes to obtaining information. You yourself found out that your friend's sister was a victim (r.i.p.), but an official list of the deceased hasn't been released. Your argument is riddled with so many loopholes it's incredible. There are any number of conceivable ways in which the r.a. and the g/f could be identified after they were shot. Once this happens, at the very least, people who were close to them find out.

In order for your theory to be plausible, the kid would have to shoot two people in the middle of a dorm while being in a loud fight and leave the building without being seen. The following events would also have to happen:

The victims can't be ID'd.

No one can know who the g/f cheated on him with.

No one heard the argument because they would find out that this a jilted lover seeking revenge.

No one can hear the gun shots because they would come to scene. If the g/f lived in that dorm, which she probably did because he b/f looked for there, her floor/room mates could ID her. Basically if anybody stumbles across the scene, they ID the g/f. Plus if she didn't live in the dorm, she has reason to be there so unless the RA was the only person that knew her, she would get IDed.

etc.

Your theory = //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

I can hear it now... "Video games, Marilyn Manson and KMFDM are to blame for this!" - Random Politician

Kinda feel bad for the pres of the school cuz you know when the media and parents are done with him he will be in the unemployment line.

i agree...........

RIP those lost. twas a ****edup day.......

so the killer was a dorm resident, asian, insane, that's all we have so far? the ballistics report is also going to be a determining factor if not THE determining factor proving that the same guy did both shootings.

Apparently the shooter went to high school with me and was in my graduating class....never knew the guy, but my friend said he was always silent and never talked even when teachers called on him in class.

wow, i had not heard that yet i've been watching cnn stream on my phone and did not see that yet, but anyways the ballistics report was + for both sites hmm i figured that is how it went down
