Volt Meter

So i bought this volt meter and did a little research. Everyone hooks this thing up differently. I see some that wires it up to the alternator....some wired it directly 2 there amplifier. So im asking what is the best or correct way 2 wire this thing. It has 3 wires...Red, Black and White. Im guessing the White wire is the remote.

I go straight to the amp because the amps voltage is what I am most concerned about... the white must be a remote...

You could do the HU, the Battery or the Amp they are all 12v sources and should give a volt reading... I would do Battery Myself or Amp

Batt(14.4) Amp(10.8) but im about 2 install a kinetik hc2400

amp is only at 10.8 thats not good, what size amp you got and where you playing a test tone wen you took the voltage

Well the amp is a Planet Audio BB2400.1 and no i wasnt playing a test tone but thats stock everything but I do have Knukoncept 0 gauge wiring kit installed....havent even did the big 3 yet. Im going 2 do all that in a few(big 3, Kinetik hc 2400)

Which is the point of the meter - to show what you actually get at the amp.

Something's wrong. Probably your ground wire.

When i had a rear battery...that's where mine was connected ..

ya man try checking all of your grounds, that 10.8 is unacceptable
