I got one of those cheap 3.5in volt/amp meter. Considering the price, I am not expecting much.

But, it came with a shunt that will need to go right in the middle of my power cable. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this or any input? If I install this shunt will there be a rise in impedence or a drop in voltage.. Or anything?
