only around 400 rms watts. Im uncertain of how they sound or perform because I dont know anyone that has them or have ever played with them.

Im assuming you mean volfenhag. I did hear pair in a ported box, and i was suprised. They actully sounded decent, much better than any sony. I dont know how long they will last, but they suprised me big time. They got loud, and had some pretty good low end.

actually they dont sound too bad at all......heard a set about a week ago ran with an older alpine amp 350 x 2...and they got quite a bit louder than i expected....and sounded ok .

my buddy had 8 12 aluminum series volfenhags on like 4 1200watt volfenhag amps and it was pretty loud, of course 8 12s is gonna be loud , but still...

they look cool ya, think about you spending $100

they spent money making the thing look cool but how much money did they spend in the quality of the product, somthing to consider

my first 2 10's were volfenhag, same 400w rms subs....they were the best 80 dollar pair of subs for the money. i gave 550w rms to each and they performed very well for being cheap subs. some people say they blow easily though mine took a beating daily for a year and never had problems. for low end subs they are great. i recommend sealed boxes. ame company as DHD. thier amps BLOW *** but the subs are nto bad, especially for the money. a pair of 12's will sound very nice, check out ebay, they have them there for cheap. mine were on a lanzar 1200d and performed to thier fullest. granted you'll get better purformance out of more exspensive subs, but i know what it's like being on a slim budget and these are great f or the money

I remember a friend having a volfenhag sub. I never heard it, but it came in a nice fancy hinged wooden box. It reminded me of a box for an engagement ring only about 40 times bigger.

....and thier red. which is not always a bad thing....sometmies it nice haveing a "cool" looking sub even though it's just a marketing pitch for a low end sub...still, red can be cool

ironicly the concept of intense marketing with cool colors or fancy names isnt just with low end stuff

JL audio for example IMO spends as much money if not more money into thier advetiseing than accual quality of product. dont get me wrong JL makes quality stuff but the retail is god forsakenly exspensive. most people out there considr JL to be the "best", probly because thats all they've heard of for quality companies.....where as some companies like RE audio, adire, adesent audio, beyond audio, treo, blah blah blah all make equpiment that is as good or better, at a much more fair price, if not drasticly cheaper for the same craftsmanship.....yet they dont spend the thousands on advertiseing, hince thats why some people are stuburn to believe that there are subs out there that hit harder than thier w7.....o well

now i got off topic and i appologize, but i wanted to address that marketing pitches and descievng looks happen with higher grade equpiment as well as low end stuff...probly more so in lower end stuff....but still.....JL bas tards
