hey guys, lookin into buyin some budget subs cause money tight, anyone own any Volfenhag zx-4710 's (10" 1600 max, continuous 400) I can pick up 2 for about 100 bucks and wondering how they sound

there actually not to bad for the price, they were my first 2 speakers. I needed cheap speakers to put in a box i built in school. And I beat the hell out of them and there actually still around in my friends car. Been used for 2 years so far.

THEY ****. There are much better speakers for a lot less. DHD, PB, Concept, are all decent speakers for a decent price. Or you could go with PYRAMID. (JUST KIDDING) Or you can go with SONY. I think they make killer subs. OK I AM REALLY KIDDING, I only wanted to see how many people would get upset about saying sony was good. But the first 3 companies make a decent speaker for a budget.

Like the above post said...look into some kicker comps, or comp vr's on ebay. Either one of those will be a MUCH MUCH better choice and be around the same price. peace

I've heard a set off volfenhag 10's before and it wasn't the king of budget subs in my opinion, if you could come up with 150 ( I know 100 is your budget, but this would be worth the extra 50) for your subs I'd say buy 2 elemental design e10Kx.44 subwoofers. Here is the link if your interested.
