I was looking for images on what a subwoofer looks like and all of its parts. I found a few diagrams on the net and an explanation of the parts involved in a subwoofer assembly. What I cannot find (or understand) is what is the difference between a DVC and SVC. There is one pole within the magnet that IS the motor. So, where could another be wound?

And while we are at it, besides being able to go 8ohm or 2ohm for a dvc VERSUS a svc being a 4ohm, is there an actual advantage to a DVC? Power handling seems unaffected.
