I was wondering if it is possible to fix a blown voice coil and if so, how?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
I have a 15" L7 duel voice sub. Only one voice coil is blown. Its not off the sub or anything, is just blown i believe. Sub sill works, just dont pound as hard as it should.
sprinkle some mdf dust on top of the dust cap. the SPL god's will then magically heal your woofer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
ya dude! worked for me! Well that and $100 sent to RE for all new soft parts and $5 for epoxy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I dont think you can get a recone for kickers stuff though... is it still under warranty?
but I doubt kicker sells recones. could try to e-mail em and see what they say though. also just to make sure take a DMM to both coils and set to the ohm reading feature and see what each says
ya then one is blown. e-mail or call kicker see what they say. im sure someone on here would buy the kicker off ya even though its half blown //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
