Voice coil reading different ohm when cold?

Anyone ever have a a DVC sub that gave a different resistance reading on one coil when cold? Has it caused any probs with reliabillity or output?

I have one that will read a constant 2.5 ohm on one coil and 5 ohm and over on another coil when it is cold. After playing it for a min it read 2.5-2.7 consistant.

Will test as soon as I can build a box for it, just seeing if anyone has experience with this.

5 ohms on one coil, 2.5 on the other? bad measurement, or perhaps they were series'ed during measurement? make sure the cone is 100% still otherwise you cant get any kind of real reading.

cold weather will lower the DCR a bit (and actually improve motor efficiency for that matter) But it wont make a 2.5 ohm coil go to 5 ohms.

It's been tested by two people with the same results, myself (buyer) and the seller. Left the sub on the ground and did not even touch when looking at the resistance.

I"m at work but I have pics I can upload when I get home.
