Well I just installed my Pioneer P860MP and I'm trying to get my vocals to show through the music. I have a set of Kicker Resolution Components and a US Acoustic USX2080 amp (85x2 @ 4ohms) I have my sub setup great (12W7) however, I can't seem to get the vocals of songs the get "loud" Seems like the music and the beat drains out the words, so I have a 13 band eq in the deck and I was wondering what hz do I need to raise in the EQ to get them to stand out.

Remember that you should be turning other freqs DOWN, instead of turning the other ones up.
Bingo!! An EQ should be used to lower peaks, not raise valleys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Does your component set have a tweeter attenuation?? Have you played around with it?? It may just be that the tweeter is overbearing compared to the mid, so the vocal range doesn't seem as loud.
