Never mind. The drivers for XP/2K worked lmfao.

Who woulda thunk it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I still hate Vista.

Windows 7 is so much better. I have been running the beta for a couple weeks now, and I actually like it more than XP Pro Black Edition which is what I was running before this. I tried Vista for a day, and will NEVER go back.

Win 7>Vista>XP. All of you who think Vista sucks are either bandwagoners or idiots.
While I am unimpressed with many of the changes that were made I would not say the o/s as a whole sucks. What sucks is that people tried installing it on the same hardware that had served them well for years with XP. Vista is too resource intensive for that to work out for the majority of the people out there. Windows 7 has made a few ui improvements, and done a bit of work to their graphics system if I recall correctly. Both sorely needed. The uac change as well was a wise move.

This begets the question: "Will we ever see the WniFS?"

Installed Windows 7 on my laptop a couple weeks ago, very happy with it. Was dual booting Vista and Win 7 but actually removed vista because the Win 7 beta has been working great, its quick, and surprisingly stable.

And this coming from someone who must think Bose 301's sound good, lmfao. Get a life man.

You cannot get Windows7 Beta from Microcrap and more. You can either find someone that got it before they shut off the download or through a bitstream. Oddly enough, you can still get a key for it.

As for the dumbass comment by bose, go check with any IT guys or large companies. They DO NOT run Vista of any form. If they buy something with Vista on it, it is wiped clean and XP installed. Vista may work for your little machine and good for you. other then that, get back under your rock. I don't even want to waste my time explaining all the downfalls of Vista.

Oh back to my Vista woe's. I now need to find a Ricoh SD bus card reader driver. So far I have tried several different versions and no luck.

Assuming you are using the version that microsoft released as beta...you know that expires in august right?

Well, no, I don't think bose speakers sound good, just been using this as my username for everything for 10 years now, so i kept it here. Maybe you should look at my sig for what I think sounds good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

As for the reason IT departments keeping XP that is simple, not all of their machines could run Vista, thus they can't upgrade them all to Vista and since it is easier to administer a network where all machines are running the same OS they stick with XP. Also, not all software is compatible with Vista, so they stick with XP.

Ok, I digress. Those look like some pretty nice sounding speakers. I would assume they give a warm natural sound. I sold $12,000 worth of audio equipment of mine to a guy in DC. I drove there and set the system up for him with Bose speakers. It sounded like crap. I have some a/d/s/ MV80T's myself and in stereo mode, with out sub, they reproduce perfectly.

Other then that, people are not idiots because they dislike a terrible product. Vista was shoved down our throats while it was still buggy, had security issues, extremely poor driver support (still does), and poor product placement (ie: what version do I HAVE to buy that will work with upgrading from what OS).

With that, companies will not use it for compatibility issues as well as reasons stated above. You would think MS would have learned from WindoseME or atleast continue sales of XP through out. Needless to say, I personally do not know of any company that is running Vista. And as for consumers, you are lucky to get a system where Vista will continue to work and god forbid you have an older system (such as I have several) that you cannot find a copy of XP anymore and then you are basically screwed!

So, give me a kiss and say your sorry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
