Well my gf bought me a Viper 771xv for Chritsmas and im very happy that she did. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Well Best Buy is going to install it. Yes I know most of the BB stores are known for messing stuff up but the local one around me is very good.*and the install is free*

The installer even let me look at his car bescause I was so concerned about them splicing and dicing.

The guy has a decent set up with some old school RF amps and some DLS speakers so he isnt the regular BB worker .

anyways.

Which parts is any will I need to buy to make this work with my car?

The car comes with a starter imobilizer which is from the factory and power windows and locks.

I want to keep all that and just add remote start.

Do I need to buy a mobule or any type of bypass switches/relays?

The car is a 2006 Scion tc

thanks

you have a couple of choices for the bypass. The first of which is to use a 556uw which would require a key for operation to bypass the immobilizer and thus you would lose one of your kesy as ong as the remote start was installed. The second option is the xk05 which i would recommend as it does not require you to lose a key. Why not go ahead with the whole install and get keyless and alarm as well since the unit is an alarm last time i checked?

Is best buy or circuit city even getting the xk's yet?

no idea....but we do and they are pretty cool customers love them
Yah we've been useing xk01, xk05, and xk531s like crazy... it's so much easier, we were pretty much strictly u's and l's before.

What have you guys been doing for smart keys? like on the new lexus cars. I've heard of the 1101t's that do both the prox and push button, but don't know of anyone that has tried them. One of our sales guys was trying to say xk05's would bypass it, but that doesn't sound right.
