Viper 5900

So im seriously considering buying an alarm for my truck. For some reason or another i have been losing sleep as to which options to choose and what i exactly need.

Prices Installed:

Viper 5000 - $375 2-way, 1/4 mile range, NO remote-start

Viper 5900 - $550 2-way, 1 mile range, remote start

Avital 4400 - $450 2-way, 1/5 mile range, remote start

The 5000 is the only 1 that doesnt have remote start, and the avital only has 2 extra channels for added modules. The vipers are 6 chan.

Are these prices good? And what would you choose if you had $700.

I have the python 990 and its the same as viper 5900. It replaced the python 881xp which i believe is the same as the viper 5000...i really like the 990, i havent been far enough away from my car to where it wont work. but other than range its the same system as the 881

I got it at an employee discount, retail i believe they run in the 550 dollar range

Decided to go all out and get the 5900. I will write a review after I have it installed and play around with it for a while.

good choice, i just finished installing that alarm in my mustang... its the secod alarm that I got and the first I have installed...

Everything works great, the range is pretty far... farther than my friends viper 791xv.... i love the remote start feature too......
