Viper 5900 Warn Away

I just got my Viper 5900 w/ remote start installed today (free alarm, free install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif well... almost free.)

Anyway, I'm reading through the book, learning how to do everything. One problem I'm noticing is that there is supposed to be a "warn away" response on light impact.

I've walked outside and bounced my car, slapped it, called it a *****... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

No chirps. Silence. Is there some way to see if this is not hooked up? I will take it back to the guy and let him look at it, but I just want to make sure that "light impact" means just that and that I don't have to beat the crap out of my car to make the alarm go off. I'm not breaking any windows just to test it...

Thanks.

Thanks! I'll see if I can find it. If not, I may just need to let the guy who installed it do it. So far all I've been able to find is the siren and the valet button...

Hmmm... screw was mostly turned. Turned it all the way, then tried the other way.

There is a red LED that flashes whenever I move the sensor or tap around it. But if I shake the car or hit the car, nothing happens. I know it's all the way up because the light won't flash if it's turned the other way. It's on some kind of metal crossbar under my steering wheel. Could that just be a bad place for it?

No, anywhere should be fine.

Those shock sensors Viper makes are no good.

I gave my friend an alarm where it seems like it only has one setting which is to be very sensitive. If you slam a car door hard beside his car, the alarm will go off. Which is good, but annoying at the same time and I planted it in the middle of his center console.
