Viper 550ESP in a Camaro, remote start issues.

Heres the deal. I have a 94 Camaro Z28 that the previous owner put a Viper 550ESP in.

Well, all of the features work. Lock/unlock, panic, hatch release, and remote start--to an extent. When i tap lock/unlock at the same time, the vehicle will start and run for about a second and die.

There are a couple things I've gone over:

Passkey bypass resistor, this should be good since the car will start with a key

Hood button, when the hood is open, the remote start will not work at all

I'm kind of at a loss, I'm about to take it up to the shop but they will charge something and I was hoping I could save some cash and fix it myself.

You may need to re-train the tach signal. Start the vehicle, and within about 5 seconds press and hold the valet switch. If the LED lights up and stays on, release the switch, turn the car off and try the remote start. If the LED doesn't light, then the tach sense wire isn't hooked up properly; you'll either need to reprogram the unit for voltage sense or rewire the tach.
