Alright folks, i finally got my hands on a camera that has sound! ..lol so heres the deal, awhile back when i had 2 15's and my system was slappin beyond belief, after i got to bass happy, i blew one of my L7's, which is why there is another spot in the box for another L7. So i took the blown one out and left in the one that works. Now When i had them both in brand new, they sounded a little different, as if they werent broken in or something, so about a month ago, i popped my trunk open to see what was sounding so different about it. When i opened it , the sub sounded like wit was blown, but I wasnt sure, becuz it was still playing pretty good (from the inside of my car) Ive asked a couple of my buddies to see what they thought and they too are unsure.

What my guess is that its sounds like this becuz they box is to open (becuz of the missin L7) and that i should just build a box for 1 L7 and wait till i get another replace ment. BUT i could be wrong, so i made some videos to see what u guys think. Help me out please

Judging by the way it sounds it is DEFINATELY not blown. If it was blown it would just sound like crackling and not anything like that. There must be another problem, but whatever it is I couldn't tell you. I would say the smart thing to do is not play it until you get some solid advice on here.

I really cant help you because im not professional, but I had my 1st cvr do that to me, and it was the first step to being blown, If i would have stopped playin it, it wouldnt have blown, so i agree to stop playin it, all the guys knew at my car audio shop locally was that it was quote "F***** up" so yea not really much help

it sounds kind of like mine did when the voice coil started separating from the cone.

but then again it could be anything. but that was how mine sounded like when the voice coil was starting to rip away from the cone it was just one side. but it still sounded like ***.

thats exactly what i think it is, cuz its makin the rattlin sound from the top of the cone, all the other sides sound fine.

if you take the sub out of the enclosure you may be able to see where the separation is starting to happen. im sure there is some sort of adhesive that you can use to fix it if you so desire. i didn't care about my sub since it was so old already and the cone was paper so i didn't care to fixing it. but your cone is some sort of plastic which it could most likely be fixable.
