VFL 2680 Amp Problem

I hooked up my new American Bass VFL 2680 yesterday and decided to test it out with a 12" kicker cvr by putting the gain really low.

I set the subsonic to 35

Lpf to 80

And I started playing music while I set the gain. I could have the gain all the way up and the sub didn't get as loud as when it was on 150rms.

At first the subwoofer was at 4 ohms, but this morning I wired it down to 1 ohm and I still have the same problem.
