VFL 120.1 vs VFL Hybrid 4480

Whats the deal on these 2 amps? I see they both do about 2200rms @ 1ohm, or do they? The 120.1 should be about $500 I figure, an I see the 4480 is about $310. Which would be a better fit for 2 SQ HDS312's which are rated @ 1200rms....

I think the 150.1 is a better build quality.

hds youd be fine with the 4480... the vfl 120 is a better amp hands down... and 500 wow i sold mine on here for i think 225... that 4480 will slap those hds... dont worry about that they just arent the quality of the vfl imo...

Both are great amps. The deal is one is Korean built the other is china built. But both are solid amps

Korean built amps are far better than Chinese built ones. China likes to use cheap components.

Not always true. It depends on the manufacturer Some places will just say build it. Others will test and if not up to par have the build house redo the amp case being. Look at the xta 5000 and 6000 from powerbass. Korean design china build. Monster amps tho

Yeah that is true, but 75% of amps from china are mass produced and are smoke machines..lol

If I ever decided on what build house I'm going to use to build my amps, I will definitely do some hard testing if I go with a Chinese manufacture. I'm leaning more towards zenon right now tho.

How about the AmBs 150.4 vs AmBs SQ945? The Hyb states 75x4 @ 2ohm for $180 while the SQ say's 100x4 @ 4ohm for $250. Clearly the SQ is a better amp No? I will pair it with 4 cdt 6x9cfx rated at 200rms/pr

The vfl line is under rated the sq line is the low end. Not that good. Also the online prices your getting isn't from a authorized dealer which means no ab warranty. Be careful

op, ive ran the vfl 100, 120, 150, and the ph4000, the ph 4ch, the sq800w 4ch, hybrid 150/4 and hybrid 1880....

didnt like the ph line or sq line.... couldnt believe the power from hybrid... 1880 was the size of a dvd case.... every bit of a awesome amp... just really light and small... the vfl is a beast no doubt but if your gonna go with the hds, i cant justify buying the vfl.... vfl is a monster that will run .5 ohm all day on the torture tip... your not gonna run that 4480 at .5 ohm.... but on those hds you dont need too....

Il find sumthn else for the hi's, any sugg's on a 100x4rms amp $2-250? An so the 4480 wud be great for 2 hds312's?
