Velodyne DPS10

So at work we have had this Velodyne DPS10 sitting around collecting dust. Somehow the dust cover on the sub got dented in and no one wants to touch it. I am thinking about picking it up and repairing it. I know it retailed for $459. What would these go for used and how should I go about repairing it? I am just trying to figure out if the price I can get it for is worth it.

if its just the dustcap, use a vacuum to **** it out. or use a small pin and pry.

Ehh its more then dented in, more like mashed in. Dont know if I can remove just the dust cap and replace it or what.

theoretically it shouldn't mess up the sound too much. the cone just wont be as strong Im guessing

Velodyne = Teh Best!

Awesome subs. pick it up for sure. Take the dust cap off and put a new one on there and your set, no one would ever know!

Indeed...

Take a sharp razor blade and go around where the cone touches the dust cap, be careful not to cut the cone. You just want to cut the connecting glue away from the dust cap and cone. You can get a new dust cap from Parts Express for around $2 IIRC. Glue it on with some Amazing Goop and you should be set.

It looks like the Dust Cap is cracked so heating it up wouldn't work. Plus, I would be afraid to put an open flame that close to a cone...
