X2 but it's off strip so you'll always have to get a ride to the strip. Are you going to rent a car?
If you stay on strip just get a bus pass and take "the duece" around town.

We usually stay at the Mirage or Treasure Island (TI). Last trip (3 weeks) ago we spent 4 nights at TI. They have the best price point / room quality combination. It's basically a 5 min walk to Wynn, Venetian, Mirage, the Mall.

There's usually 1-2 good night clubs per large casino. The only name I can remember was Pure but Mgm, Ceasar's Palace, Bellagio, Mirage, and TI all have good spots.

Just be prepared to bring some cash as teh drinks are expensive.

we arent going to rent a car but i was thinking we could walk from the rio, but how far is it? i have a map that shows the locations of the hotels and it says its only a block away?

im not too worried about paying for drinks, the clubs we go to are like 10-15 for her drinks and about 5 for mine. we spend $100 easy at the club.

i just got a great deal on the MGM grand. 60/night for standard room with 2 queen beds, but on top of the room they give you 50 beans in food money, 2 club entrance tickets, and 15 beans of free play. look it up on travelzoo

i like the Palazzo or theHOTEL very nice but very costly. but also since its your first time there how much of it will be in your room? if money is lil tight look at the excaliber i think they have deals for like 70 a room. its right in middle of the strip so walking to the differant clubs isnt an issue. just watch out for the lil bastards selling club passes if you go online you can get them free instead of paying.

The Wynn and Encore is basically one big hotel, the Encore being a add-on to the Wynn. The best clubs right now are XS (encore) Tryst (Wynn) Tao ( Venetian, really big, and really crowded tho ) )and anything in the Palms ( its off strip, but really only a 15 min walk ) Caesars has Pure, and Poetry, but Poetry is for the Nigz, I dont even go there, because I only date WHITE girls, not white girls who act black, so they usually wont go there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Poetry has the best music by far though as far as hip-hop

Seriously man, buy the bulk pack of VIP passes to a ton of clubs for about $120. I forgot the name of the company that sells it but you can find it on google. My friend and I both got one a couple months ago when we went to vegas and we were treated like rockstars everywhere we went. Free admission, no waiting in line, and it also comes with a few 2 for 1 drinks and free appettizers. I will never go to vegas again without that bulk pass. I still actually have about 1/2 the passes and they're good year round.

My friend and I stayed at the Bally's which is right in the middle of the strip for cheap and then we stayed the last night at the Hard Rock for cheap too. The club there is pretty nice but just watching the girls at the pool was enough for us to stay there one more night.

as for the rio, ive been inside and its pretty nice, but its off the strip so depending on what all you're gonna be planning it might cost you quite a bit in taxis to get where you need. same with the palms.

really it comes down to how much you want to spend. ive been twice and have went the cheap route (stratosphere) and a decent route (mgm) and both times i have had a great time. really with you not being in your room much its almost all about the same to an extent. ill be headin out there in a few weeks and will be staying at harrahs this time.

planet hollywood would seem like a good centralized location if you have plans on being all over.

I know it's more than a block... The Palms/Rio is cool for one night but trust me you'll be much happier staying on the strip. You can be out of your hotel and on the duece in 2min whereas I would think it's at least a 30 min walk from Palms/Rio to the strip.

I'm glad you're brining bank for the clubs... All of our mixed drinks @ Pure were $15-20; even mine. I think a normal draft beer was $10.
